Horft í vestur
Í kvöld horfði ég á aldeilis frábæra mynd, ástralska vestrann "The Proposition". Leikstýrt af 'ég man ekki hverjum' en handritið er eftir Nick Cave. Þessi mynd er falleg/ljót og hæg/spennandi. Hún er full af ofbeldi/á móti ofbeldi. Söguþráðurinn er næstum eins einfaldur og hægt er, en hún nær að vera ljóðræn og innihaldsrík. Og endirinn er ekkert annað en fullkominn. Leikurinn er líka frábær. Ray Winstone sérstaklega. Og Guy Pearce. Hinir ekkert slor. Þetta er mynd sem allir þurfa að sjá, nema yngri en 16 ára, viðkvæmir og ábyggilega flestar konur. Já, vestrinn er greinilega ekki útdauður. Deadwood-þættirnir eru mikil snilld og ég hlakka til að sjá bæði "3:10 to Yuma" og "Jesse James."
